Details Emerge Of A Recent Conflict Between Joho And Junet At ODM Headquarters

Inside sources have revealed details of a recent conflict between Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho and Suna East MP Junet Mohammed. The conflict broke on the day ODM convened a meeting of senior party officials to discuss the party’s presidential candidate in 2022 at Chungwa house. Governor Hassan Joho, who happens to be a joint ODM Deputy Party Leader, was casually invited via call by a Junet Mohamed and told to avail himself at the Chungwa house for a meeting with ODM party leader Raila Odinga. Joho was reportedly not sent the agenda of the day’s meeting.

Governor Joho turned up for the meeting which did not take place. An inside source reveals that the ODM officials had in actual sense called Joho ostensibly to be captured by a camera and be paraded for the media to see that “he is firmly in ODM”.

The ODM officials allegedly handled the coastal county chief, a senior ODM party official like a junior staff. They are also alleged to have prepared a press statement without Joho’s knowledge.

The county head was so irked that he almost got into an altercation with Suna East MP Junet Mohammed. The ODM governor is reportedly mad at the officials and has confided in his staff and advisors that some elements within ODM accord him no respect. The governor is alleged to have threatened to exit ODM if the officials do not show him respect going foward. The county head has however maintained that he will not abandon ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
