Day of high drama as Uhuru’s paper exposes Waiguru’s defection hours in advance

As yesterday came to an end, it brought to a close one of the country’s most dramatic episodes in recent times. It was a fast moving day jam-packed with action that kept coming thick and fast and put an entire nation on a knife’s edge. Incidentally, it was the president’s own newspaper that kept providing the country with by-the-minute updates; from a bold prediction early in the morning, to Purity Ngirici’s curious message to the president at midmorning. Yesterday’s string of activities showed how the country’s intelligence agencies might possibly be briefing the president’s private businesses. It all started with a post by the People’s Daily at 9: AM.

In the prophetic post, the publication which is owned by Mediamax, a company associated with the First Family, predicted that the Kirinyaga governor, Anne Waiguru would be joining UDA shortly. The paper said,

Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Waiguru is set to ditch Jubilee party for Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party in an event set to take place in Karen later in the day.

Pushed to the wall by the shifting political ground in Mt Kenya, Governor Waiguru has finally made up her political move and joined UDA party, which is associated with Deputy President William Ruto.
Speaking to People Daily Digital today morning, a close ally of the governor has disclosed that all was set for Waiguru to make the major political announcement today, at the deputy president’s official Karen home.

“Our governor will today officially join UDA and end so many political questions people have been asking her,” the source who sought anonymity told People Daily Digital.

Soon after this, K24, another one of Mediamax’s stations posted a telling birthday wish sent from Kirinyaga’s Women Representative Purity Ngirici to the president, not only sending her best wishes, but also showering him with praises.

Soon afterwards, it was officially announced that Waiguru had joined the Hustler’s movement.

Later, the People’s Daily was not quite done yet and appeared to make another prediction, but this time, a more nuanced one. They pulled out an old story of Ngirici threatening to leave UDA.
