Education CAS Zack Kinuthia has revealed he got valuable history lessons from his visit to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga’s Kodera Kang’o when the Kikuyu Council of Elders visited the home. While narrating his experience at the symbolic event, Kinuthia said he was impressed witness the over 50 year hatchet that has ripped off the relationship between the two communities burried.
” I was impressed to join our Kikuyu Council of Elders led by Mzee Wachira wa Kiago yesterday in the delegation to meet the Luo Council of Elders led by Mzee Otondi to bury the over 50 years hatchet that has ripped off the relationship between the two communities.”
”Although I’m not an elder, I belong to the Youth Council which is created to UNDERSTUDY the Elders and inherit their wisdom, ways of work and their aspirations for the Agìkùyù people’s culture, economy, politics, traditions and programs,as well as those of the Republic of Kenya,” he said.
”We were hosted at Kango Ka Jaramogi in Bondo, and was pleased to be taken around the Mausoleum and the Museums therein, where a 70 years Kenyan history span. Raila Odinga also showed us where Mzee Jomo Kenyatta used to sleep when he visited his father in 50s and 60s.”
