Award-winning human rights activist Boniface Mwangi has revealed the phone number used to threaten musician Julius Owino alias Juliani over his relationship with former Machakos County first lady Lilian Ng’ang’a.
In an online post on his official Twitter handle, the outspoken activist noted that the hitmaker had already recorded a statement with the police at the Kileleshwa police station over the threats.
Revealing the content of the threat message, Boniface said that the unknown people told his good friend to stop posting the photos they had taken together with the former first lady, otherwise they will kill him.
My very good friend @JulianiKenya was threatened yesterday. Someone called him and texted using 0773912088. He told him to stop posting pics posed with his friend @LillyanneNganga, and if he continues, they will kill him. He has recorded a statement at Kileleshwa Police Station. pic.twitter.com/9TTQ4aW9Qu

“My very good friend @JulianiKenya was threatened yesterday. Someone called him and texted using 0773912088. He told him to stop posting pics posed with his friend @LillyanneNganga, and if he continues, they will kill him. The human rights activist happens to be a mutual friend to both the hitmaker Julian ad the former wife to Machakos County governor, with the trio having been spotted together on numerous occasions.
Boniface Mwangi’s sentiments comes just hours after the musician also posted a message on his Twitter handle indicating he was receiving constant threats over his association with former Governor Alfred Mutua’s wife.
In his post the Tawala singer wondered how a whole grown up of sound mind like Lilian Ng’ang’a can be stolen, warning to the public to refrain from the dangerous “ulinyang’anyana” narrative.
“How now can you “iba mtu”?! An intelligent adult with a sound mind.
The call/text threat on my life today, NOT funny!
“ulinyang’anyana” narrative is false, tired, juicy headlines tu.
Kindly STOP! For the threats, usi aim face, na prefer niki smile kwa open casket.
Baraka” shared Juliani.
This comes just hours after the singer on Wednesday September 1, 2021 thanked those who had reached out to him in recent days, while noting that the relationship between him and Lilian was obvious.
“Asante sana for all who’ve reached out the past couple of weeks. Mola awazidishie. No need for a statement about the obvious issue. I know you can think for yourselves. Draw your own conclusions. I believe in you,” the post read.
