All Stop At Nothing Other Than Nairobi Governorship, Vows Wanyonyi

By Isaac Wanjekeche

Westlands Member of Parliament, Timothy Wanyonyi has officially made it open that he is going for Nairobi city gubernatorial seat.
While speaking to delegates in Ruaraka , the MP said he is stopping at northing less than governorship seat in the 2022 polls.

“I am ready, able and willing “, said Wanyonyi.
He said with boldness, that he is not begging anyone for the seat -promising his competitors run for their money.
He used the opportunity to drum support for ODM leader Raila Odinga for the top seat in the country.

“When Raila will be taking charge of national government, all be taking control of the city county affairs “, added the legislature.

Wanyonyi said the Luhya vote has a significant impact in the politics of the country.
This ends the speculations that the ODM legislature will be defending his Westlands parliamentary seat.

Pundits have been quick to note that his declaration is set to attract serious debate in the city politics.

Wanyonyi is a close ally of ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Political analyst Robert Watangwa has said Wanyonyi is expected to flash his track record card as a tool to endear the voters.

“Tim remains the only politician in the city with track record that is tangible. His competitors must brave for a tough battle,” said Watangwa.

The legislature was named the best performing MP by the Mizani Africa Awards last early this year attributing his win to the many schools infrastructural development projects that he has initiated in his Constituency.
