“Alinitumia Video Ya Kifo” Pain As A Lady Reveals What Her Husband Did To Her Before Mwingi Accident

A wife of one of those who were involved on Saturday’s river bus accident has come out to reveal what her husband did to her before the sudden accident took away his life.

Speaking to Citizen TV, the heartbroken woman said her loved one had sent her a goodnight message before sharing a video about death with her.

“Alianambia ako sawa nikamwambia goodnight akaniambia goodnight too (he told me he was okay and we exchanged goodnight messages),” she said. Adding: “Alinitumia video clip which talks about life and death, akaniambia katika maisha kuna kuzaliwa na kuna kufa na kati ya hizo mbili, kuna choice akaniambia I have to make my choice of which it won’t hurt me na hio ndio ilikuwa communication yangu ya mwisho naye (he sent me a video explaining the stages in life; birth and death. He told me to make a choice in life and that was our last conversation.

This lady said that this video clip was saying that in human life, there is a time to be born and a time to die. Her husband then captioned it saying that what he can do is only to choose something that doesn’t hurt his heart before death and the gentleman slept. The following day, sad news were reported to the lady saying that her husband has died.

On monday, The death toll from Saturday’s river bus accident rose to 32  after the bus with about 50 passengers plunged into River Enziu at a village in Kitui County, eastern part of the country on Saturday.

Mwingi East Sub-County Commander Joseph Yakan said the divers rescued 17 people who were inside the bus at the time of the tragedy during an operation.

“Some bodies were retrieved from the river on Sunday bringing the total number to 32,” Yakan said on phone, adding that the rescuers managed to retrieve the bus wreckage to the shores of River Enziu.According to Yakan, the driver of the bus was attempting to drive past a flooded bridge when water tidesoverpowered the vehicle, sweeping it into the river.
