Renowned radio presenter Alex Mwakideu has appealed for financial support to help his family clear hospital bill amounting to Ksh. 900,000 for his sister who has been battling with Covid-19.
The Media personality took to his social media page and posted a message revealing that his sister Rozinna Mwakideu had been admitted in hospital for almost a month now after she was diagnosed with Corona Virus.
In his message, Mwakideu disclosed that his sister received medical treatment at an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for the first two weeks before she was moved to the isolation ward after getting better.
“We thank God that she is now stable and about to be discharged. Due to the costly medication, equipment and special care required, the outstanding medical expenses are Ksh 900,000 on July 31, 2021,” reads a statement on the presenter’s social media page.
He also stated that doctors had advised the family to take her home after noting that the hospital environment was not good for her recovery.
“We need your support. Financially, prayers and all,” Mwakideu stated.
This comes after the radio presenter lost both his mother and sister in a span of four months in 2019.
Reports reveals that his mother died after a long illness while his sister Emmy Godin succumbed to cancer.
