The short-lived triumph holiday for the Garissa Town MP Aden Duale comes to abrupt stop as he is faced with the second attempt of his removal as the Leader of the Majority in the National Assembly.
The troubles facing the embattled Aden Duale are indeed very far from over after at least 126 MPs from the ruling Jubilee coalition signed for his ouster from the position.
Yesterday, the newly appointed Majority whip of the National Assembly Hon Emmanuel Wangwe in a late night message invited the Jubilee Party MPs to a Parliamentary Group meeting to be held this afternoon at 2pm at the jubilee headquarters in Pangani.
“Hon Jubilee member of National Assembly
Following the petition to my office by the MP for Kieni on behalf of over 120 others, You are hereby invited for a jubilee MNA meeting tomorrow the 8th Jun 2020 at the Jubilee party headquarters at 2PM.
Please keep time” Hon Wangwe MP , Chief Whip Majority party
It was not immediately established who will be chairing the said meeting.
Among the leaders who are heavily lobbying for the removal of Aden Duale include Kieni MP Kanini Kega who has been eyeing the seat of the Majority Leader and his Kipipiri counterpart Amos Kimunya who was recently appointed secretary for Jubilee coalition in parliament.
The troubled Aden Duale is clearly a victim of a vicious war in Uhuru’s kitchen cabinet popularly known as the “deep state” who are battling his succession.
There is a group inside the deep state that believes Ruto is still the safe pair to complete the 20year Jubilee rule owing to mega businesses and deal they have done together.
Then there is the second group who have viciously plotted against Ruto knowing well a Ruto presidency would be the end of them. They have used everything in their power to ruthlessly deal the anything and everything that aid the ambition of Ruto as they view the deputy president as a greedy and vengeful character who will in turn fiercely deal with them if he becomes president.
A successful removal of Aden Duale will obviously puncture the Presidential bid of DP Ruto who had started regaining the public hope in him following a rare animated light moment he shared with President Uhuru on Madaraka Day, something that its said contributed to the first survival of Aden Duale in the ongoing jubilee purge.
