Garissa Township Constituency Member of Parliament Aden Duale has finally spoken on the ongoing infight in the Deputy President William Ruto’s camp, revealing what is happening in the hustler nation outfit.
Lately, DP Ruto’s allies have been witnessed taking on each other with the recent one involving the vocal Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria, and his Mathira counterpart Rigathi Gachagua and Kikuyu Kimani Ichung’wah.
The three politicians differed on Moses Kuria’s decision to field a candidate during the Kiambaa Constituency By-election.
Garissa MP. Aden Duale has, however, come out to clear the air on what is happening in the Hustler Nation movement amidst all the differences and fights witnessed among politicians allied to the second in command.
Reports by the Standard Media indicate that the Garissa lawmaker revealed that what is happening in DP Ruto’s Camp is typically fighting for positions in a popular political party, associating the infighting with the power struggles to the fact that the newly formed UDA party is now a mass movement.
“Those are normal things with popular parties. UDA has become a mass movement that is why there is this kind of interest and jostling. The only parties where you can see this kind of jostling are UDA and ODM,” Duale asserted.
The lawmaker also rubbished assertions that the infighting could be a stumbling block to DP Ruto’s 2022 bud to succeed his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta, assuring that the UDA party has internal mechanisms to deal with such challenges, adding that the Hustler Nation movement treats such developments as normal at all times.
