Directorate of Criminal (DCI) officers are reportedly unhappy with the way the case against Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Nick Mwendwa is being handled.
The officers feel like they are caught in the middle of a war between a higher power and the FKF President.
For example when Nick Mwendwa was re-arrested on Friday the 26th of November, the investigating officers on the case had no idea what was happening. They thought the matter had ended a day earlier with the DPP choosing not to prefer charges against Mwendwa.
Our source tells one investigator had almost reached his rural home 400Km away before he was summoned to return.
Apparently the higher power was unhappy with the loss and ordered Mwendwa re-arrested and charged.
The officers reportedly feel their professionalism is being dragged through the mud and that their department will come out the laughing stock in the whole affair.
