Busia Senatorial aspirant Lawrence Kuchio Ongoma would whitewash opponents in the hotly contested Busia Senatorial race if elections were held today.
According to the latest opinion poll conducted by an online firm, Ongoma enjoys a massive support in the county and would garner more than double the vote his closest challenger, Activist Okiya Omtatah would manage to attract.
The poll finding released yesterday, Ongoma, a cum philanthropist, has a 44.1 percent approval ratings while Okiya Omtatah came in a distant second after polling 21.6 percent.
Former Technology Service Providers of Kenya (TESPOK) Director and Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) Board Member Hillary Itela who is set to vie the senatorial seat on an ODM ticket was third with 15.3 percent approval rating while current Busia senator Amos Wako came fourth with 13.0 percent.
The poll is an indication of the ground worth that Lawrence Ongoma has deployed in recent times following a similar poll that was released two months ago predicting that the vocal Okiya Omtatah would beat Lawrence Ongoma.
