The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations of 2021 have commenced nationwide.
The candidates will be sitting for their examinations after the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the 2020 academic calendar.
The publication informed on the stringent COVID-19 containment measures put in place by the education ministry in conjunction with the Ministry of Health.
With rehearsals having being conducted on Friday, March 19, Education CS George Magoha insisted that each candidate will sit for the exams whether or not they were registered.
The CS was talking in reference to the cases of a number of private schools that had failed to register their candidates, the CS stressing that no candidate will be allowed to miss the exams.
Magoha further assured that the exam papers were safe and no one had had any access to them.
Today, the KCPE candidates will sit for Mathematics, English and Composition.
