Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo warmed the hearts of many after sharing a cute photo of her husband and two daughters.
The photos shared on her Facebook page showed her sitting beside her husband, while their daughters stood behind them.
Millie is married to a Zimbabwean husband, Magugu Mabona, whom she met online.
The two got married on February 14, 2006, in Kisumu on a ferry in Lake Victoria, a few metres from where her father died.
During a past interview, the legislator narrated that she was swept off her feet by Magugu’s simple act of carrying a Bible the first time they met.
“Sometimes you win strong people’s hearts with the simplest of things. When I saw him, he was carrying a Bible. That, for me, is greater than anything
“I know it is not the most romantic of things. However, he was good looking too and it is rare to see a good looking man carrying a Bible,” she narrated.
Millie also stated that her husband was not intimidated by her success.
“He is not threatened by my ‘high flying’ life so to speak, but when he is around he wants some quality time,” she stated.
