Former Nairobi nominated Member of County Assembly Karen Wanjiku took to Twitter to claim that Roots Party leader Professor George Wajakoyah is planning to fold his party and join the Orange Democratic Movement party.

Wajackoyah set to fold Roots Party & join ODM sometime next month. Prof Wajackoyah will do bad things to President William Ruto and Kalonzo Musyoka in the next few months. Raila Odinga is about to pull a wild cat on Kenya Kwanza. Gen Z and millennials will vote and pick next CIC.

Roots Party Kenya (RPK) is a political group party headed by George Wajackoyah. Wajackoya was the presidential candidate and Justina Wamae was the deputy presidential candidate of the alliance. The alliance unveiled its manifesto at Kenyatta International Convention Centre on 30 June 2022. The Roots Party is a radical party without an orthodox ideology but it does lean towards communism.
The party’s slogan is “Tingiza Mti” (Swahili for “Shake the Tree”). Their symbol is a tree.

The Root Party has 10 “Commandments of freedom”. In Wajackoyah’s manifesto speech which occurred at July 30th, 2022, Wajackoyah mentioned in the manifesto that Nairobi is a “corrupt city for the elite” and compared a possible capital change to Isiolo to Nigeria and Tanzania and saying that Nairobi is a slow city, mentioning that Nairobi only has 5 exit ways.

Their Ten Commandments of Freedom were:
Legalize Bangi in Kenya
Snake production in Kenya
Starting an incentive for civilians to slaughter dogs
Hang the corrupt
Suspending the constitution
Shutting down the SGR
A four day work week
Shifting Kenya’s capital to Isiolo
Making Kenya a federal republic and creating 8 federate states
Deporting idle foreigners
