Kenyan gospel artist Daddy Owen has taken several bloggers on a tour of his Sh37 million hospital hostel in Kijabe, which aims to provide a home for children who have undergone surgery and are in recovery.

The hostel has several features to assist patients, including rails on the sides to help those using wheelchairs and spacious corridors that allow for multiple movements within the building. The hostel will have two kitchens, one located on the ground floor and the other upstairs to help patients who need to use the cooking area.

Daddy Owen also explained how the hostel would operate. Parents accompanying their children to the hospital will not have to pay for accommodation at the hostel as it will only accommodate a limited number of patients at a time and fully provide for them for a certain period. Daddy Owen said that parents may end up living at the hostel for free.

Daddy Owen challenged those who have achieved success in life by asking how they were impacting the lives of others. He encouraged those who have money to assist those in need, especially if they are in a position where they have none. The gospel artist explained that, through God’s blessings, he is currently in a position where he can access most government officials, and he always calls on them to assist those in need in the community.

The hostel, which is set to be completed soon with workers finalizing its interior works, is a significant contribution to society by Daddy Owen. His desire to give back to society through such initiatives is commendable and sets an example for others to follow.

Daddy Owen’s initiative to provide a home for children who are recovering from surgeries will undoubtedly transform the lives of those who benefit from it. His challenge to those who have made it in life to impact the lives of others is timely and serves as a reminder of the need to be selfless and make a positive impact in society.
