A Kenyan man identified as George Gerry Mboya, who previously claimed to be the youngest son of the late Tom Mboya, has been found dead just days after making a tearful appeal for help

In a recent video shared by a concerned friend, Obuyu Onalo, Mboya appeared visibly ill, with slurred speech and a defeated demeanor.

He tearfully spoke about his desperate situation, revealing that he had lost everything after suffering from liver failure and spending six months in Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Kansas, USA.

Upon his discharge from the hospital, Mboya had nowhere to go, and a good Samaritan provided him with money to stay in a motel temporarily.

In the video, Mboya, who looked clean but sickly, explained how his phone was cut off because he could no longer afford to pay the bills.

He pleaded for help, sharing the immense pain and uncertainty he was facing.

Unfortunately, it has now been confirmed that George Gerry Mboya passed away on July 31, 2024.

According to reports, his body was cremated on August 9, and his ashes will be brought back to Kenya for a family burial at a later date.

However, clarification from Jarunda Jaluth Mambobiad, who consulted with Mboya’s family, revealed that George Gerry Mboya was not the biological son of Tom Mboya, as he had claimed.

The family disclosed that George was battling depression, which had significantly impacted his life in the United States.
