Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi recently made headlines after flaunting his Sh17 million watch, a luxury accessory that has sparked significant discussion.
Known for his outspoken nature and opulent lifestyle, Sudi shed light on the origins of his extravagant timepiece during a recent appearance on Obinna’s show.
Sudi explained that the watch, a symbol of his success and taste for fine things, was a generous gift from a close friend who is a former Prime Minister from a different country.
“Initially, I did not know how much it cost…this watch was not made for trees or cows, it was made for human beings. I was gifted this watch by a friend of mine, a former Prime Minister who is very close to me. He gave me two watches,” Sudi revealed.
Despite the grandeur of the watch, Sudi emphasized that his wealth was not solely derived from such high-profile gifts.
He shared insights into his humble beginnings, recounting his early work experiences.
“I have sold charcoal, worked as a conductor and driver, and sold fruits. I bought my first matatu when I was still young. Not every wealthy man acquired property through dubious means. Instead of criticizing me, some people should come to me for classes on how to run several businesses,” Sudi remarked.
In addition to discussing his watch, Sudi addressed the recent looting and damage to his entertainment venue, Timba XO, during nationwide protests.
Despite suffering losses of over Sh48 million, Sudi remains resilient.
“We would have killed over 50 people that day, but I told my guys not to touch anyone. I thank God because things would have turned out differently. I would rather lose as a person and recover. My arms are still intact, and I still have my brain, and that is why we will be opening Timba XO next week on Wednesday,” he said.
