Khalif Kairo, the CEO of Kai & Karo Limited, has been accused of delaying the shipment of a customer’s vehicle from Japan, despite initially promising a swift 45-day importation process.
In an email addressed to Kairo, the frustrated customer expressed disappointment over the lack of transparency and the extended delay, which has now surpassed 60 days.
The customer explained that they had cleared the payment for their car on July 17, 2024, following Kairo’s instructions.
However, despite the payment being made, the vehicle has remained in Japan, with a new expected departure date of September 19 and an estimated arrival on October 10.
The customer’s frustration grew further upon discovering that a friend, who had begun the importation process on July 24 through a private company, was set to receive their car on September 9—a significantly shorter timeline than what Kai & Karo Limited had promised.
The customer revealed that they chose to work with Kairo’s company due to his assurance that the entire importation process would take 45 days.
However, by September 9, the car was still stuck at the Japan port, where it had been since July 25, severely disrupting the customer’s plans to celebrate a birthday with the vehicle.
Although the customer expressed admiration for Kairo’s efforts in establishing a reputable business, they highlighted the need for greater transparency, noting that the realistic timeframe appears to be 90 to 120 days instead of the promised 45 days.
