The controversy began when an X user named Kevin, operating under the handle @5People, shared an image of a young and fresh-faced Lulu Hassan with an unknown man.
Kevin’s post suggested that Lulu had a romantic history with the man in the photo, labeling her a liar and accusing her of hiding her past before her marriage to fellow journalist Rashid Abdalla.
Kevin’s provocative post quickly gained traction, drawing the attention of many who were curious about the veracity of his claims.
However, Lulu Hassan, known for her professionalism and grace, did not remain silent.
In a swift and composed response, she addressed Kevin’s allegations head-on, urging him to show respect and refrain from dragging her into baseless controversies.
Lulu’s response, penned in Swahili, was both direct and firm: “Fanya heshima sitaki upuzi wako,” which translates to “Have respect, I don’t want your nonsense.”
