Kenyans Angered After Photo of Food Cart mean’t for Mayai Boiro and Smokies captured stored in Public Washroom after closs of business
Kenyans on social media have been left in shock and disgust after a photo emerged showing a food trolley, typically used to sell street delicacies such as boiled eggs (mayai boil) and smokies, being stored in a public restroom.
The disturbing image, which has since gone viral, shows a visibly worn-out food cart placed in what appears to be a men’s urinal section, raising serious concerns about hygiene and food safety.
The picture was initially shared with the caption, “I am not fighting anyone’s hustle, but if this is where they are keeping their trolleys, then to hell with their mayai boil and smokies.”
This statement resonated with many Kenyans, who expressed anger and dismay over the unsanitary conditions in which the food cart was kept.
The reactions have ranged from outrage to fear, as many are frequent consumers of street food across the country.
