Victor Kanyari, a pastor from the Salvation Healing Ministry in Nairobi, has stirred controversy with his recent claims of possessing numerous divine authorizations from God.
In a video circulating on social media, Kanyari boldly declares himself the only pastor in Kenya with God’s mandate to heal HIV. Standing confidently at his church’s pulpit, he reassures his congregation, asserting that he alone can combat and eradicate HIV from the body through prayer alone.
“I am the only preacher who prays for people with HIV, and they get healed,” Kanyari proclaimed with conviction.
Despite his controversial claims, Kanyari added that not everyone he prays for will be healed. According to him, the divine permission he has been granted allows him to pray for people with HIV, but the outcome of who will be healed is solely in God’s hands.
“…and not everyone, only those whom God wants to be healed!” he emphasized.
However, many people have challenged his statements, pointing out the scientific consensus that HIV has no complete cure, with existing treatments only managing the virus. They argued that there has never been a recorded case of HIV being healed through prayer, aside from biblical stories from the time of Jesus and the apostles.
