Activist and lawyer Morara Kebaso is appealing to Kenyans for financial support to help him raise Ksh 1.2 million for a high-quality speaker sound system.
Kebaso plans to use the equipment to enhance his civic education and accountability activism across the country.
In his appeal, Kebaso outlined his vision of acquiring a fully equipped public address system that will enable him to reach larger crowds during his public engagements.
“We can do a presidential sound at Ksh 1.2 million or a middle sound at Ksh 838,200. I have already raised Ksh 325,000. I hope more Kenyans of goodwill will continue giving,” Kebaso said, expressing optimism about achieving his goal.
The sound system will be fitted onto a vehicle, allowing him to travel and engage with people across different regions.
Despite the progress in raising part of the funds, Kebaso is still facing challenges with securing a suitable vehicle for the system.
He mentioned that while he owns an old Land Rover Defender, it requires repairs, including fixing the gearbox, before it can be used for the campaign.
Kebaso has gained popularity through his viral video series Vampire Diaries, where he exposes government excesses and highlights development projects that have either stalled or failed.
