Controversial Pastor James Ng’ang’a has responded to the Media Council of Kenya statement to the television station affiliated to him over the breach of conduct.
In a statement on Thursday, October 28, MCK vowed to take action against Ng’ang’a TV station for airing an offensive content on 9th, October 2021.
The council noted that the media house in question breached clause on accountability, obscenity, taste and tone in reporting by allowing Pastor James Ng’ang’a in a live broadcast from Jerusalem City Kenya’s at 1024 hours where he uttered offensive and unprintable words in air.
Responding to the claims, in a video seen by Kenyan Report, Ng’anga dismissed the letter from MCK saying that the media is only answerable to the Communication Authority (CA).
He says that the council should find a better way to address him, and that is the only way where he will be able to dispatch his lawyer to answer council’s questions.
“As far as I know, I am not under Media Council of Kenya but under CA. We report to the CA and I received the letter from them giving me a warning,” Ng’anga said.
He also challenged the coucil to table the exact words that he is being alleged to have uttered and translate them to Kiswahili before taking any action.
