A 50-year-old woman collapsed and died after pleading with police officers to help reform her teenage daughter.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation report, Consolata Mutua, had frogmarched her daughter at Salama Police station accusing her of bad behaviors. As she begged officer to intervene so that her daughter mends her ways, she became emotionally overwhelmed and collapsed.
“Police officers and well wisher tried to administer first aid and resuscitate her to to Vail,” said a statement by the DCI.
She was rushed to Kilungu sub-county hospital where unfortunately, she passed away while undergoing treatment.
The DCI further advised students to be responsible and take the wise counsel offered by their teachers and parents.
“Religious leaders are equally called upon to take the rightful role in guiding and mentoring young adults, to become responsible adults in future,” their statement added.
