A member of parliament allied to Deputy President William Ruto’s Hustler Nation Movement, also known as Tanga Tanga, was rebuked following a statement he posted on his Facebook page, that praises the potential victory of Hakainde Hichilema, Zambia’s Opposition leader over the incumber, President Edgar Lungu.
Hon. Nyoro’s reaction is since Mr. Hichilema has managed to pull a rare surprise in Africa, by possibly defeating the so called “Deep State”.
His statement says.
“It is clear Hakainde Hichilema will win by over 64%. That is a landslide victory against the Incumbent, Edgar Lungu.
For the record, the Incumbent blocked the opposition from campaigning over the pandemic reasons while he himself “launched” projects while campaigning. He actually launched Zambia Airlines earlier this week, but the people of Zambia have spoken and voted against tokenism, intimidation, hubris AND against Chinese DEBT.
Congratulations HH. Africa is happy. “System and Deepstate” is pure fallacy and myth. Kiambaa and now Zambia. The real power is with the people.
We are African and Africa is our Business.”
His statement received almost immediate response from his followers on Facebook, who gave contrasting facts between Hichilema and the Deputy president William Ruto.
Gachunji Muchoki says, “The problem is that you are trying to be clever by half sorry to say
Ruto is the incumbent
Uhuru is not vying mlisema amalize aende ok anaenda Tu don’t worry”
Another Facebook user, John Owino, while responding to his post said, “Hope you are not thinking you are the opposition, and hope you are not imagining that will happen in Kenya .we are civilized, what is happening in Zambia happen in Kenya in 2002.we are Kenyan and Kenya is our business”.
Samuel Wahindi Said, “Ha ha ha…The opposition leader is Rao my friend…Ruto is in govt…we are not fools…the current failed govt is Uhurutos…Ruto and you cannot run away from China debt my friend…your friend Ichung’wa has been in budget team…now what are you telling us??Kibaki left 1.8 tn debt…your jubelee govt has 9tn debt…or you want to tell us Jubelees Ruto is different from Udas Ruto??you, Rigathi et al…are now different..???Ndindi you guys failed Kenyans…kept making alot of noise about milk, tea and coffee yet never tabled a single bill in parliament about it…they say roundi hii msitu ni UDA but ….ni wale wale…”
The tendency of Hustler Nation MPs association themselves with positive new that appears to favor their narrative is quite interesting. They did the same thing when the current president of Malawi won the election. However, they were quiet when the same president attended a virtual conference in London with a delegation of more than 8 people, 4 of whom were members of his family on tax payers money.
