Young Activist Samuel Makori, aka Kasmuel McOure, Denies Being Expelled from Alliance Boys High School
In an interview with Radio Jambo Digital on Thursday morning, 26-year-old activist and artist Samuel Makori, known as Kasmuel McOure, denied claims that he was expelled from Alliance Boys High School.
However, he admitted to being mischievous after joining Form 2 at the prestigious school.
Kasmuel revealed that he was suspended multiple times before eventually leaving the Kiambu-based high school for another national school, Maranda High School.
“I started being mischievous in Form 2 like any other teenager. It wasn’t 4G, it was suspensions. 4G is like a voluntary thing. I changed schools because of life; there’s life in high school, there’s exploring, I don’t know what. It’s just life,” Kasmuel explained.
The young activist, who has been heavily involved in recent protests against the government, disclosed that he faced several suspensions during his high school days. He also spoke about his personal life, revealing that he is currently in a relationship.
“Yes, I am dating,” he said. He added, “Dating is a good thing, I would advise you to do it. Having someone you love, someone you respect, someone who is your friend. I think that is very nice.”
Speaking on youth politics, Kasmuel opposed the creation of a Gen-Z party, arguing it would be exclusionary, representing only a specific age group. “Find a party that works for you, one whose values, positions, and movements you respect, and join it,” he advised.
Kasmuel has been trending on social media and other media platforms in recent weeks due to his active participation in anti-government protests. His involvement has brought attention to his views on education, relationships, and youth politics, making him a prominent voice among young activists.
