Sauti Sol band member, on Thursday, revealed that they will be shortly be parting ways to focus on their individual growth and self-actualizing.
In an open letter to their fans, Sauti Sol noted that their musical tour to the United Kingdom marked their journey of being “Alone-Together” – a mantra they have formed to define their unique next musical chapter.
They said that the move is a journey that they are self-actualizing by displaying their personal strength and characters as artists who came together to form Sauti Sol.
“It (Alone-Together) it ties with our natural progression of self-growth, while still being a single unit. The journey is a 4-part musical and visual art series for you and the world with the hope of enlightening you to who we really are,” the group said in a statement.
Following the separation, the noted that they will start releasing singles as individuals by December this year.
“The African King of Bald Men, Bien-Aime, shall kick off with his first solo single, a collaborative track between him and Jazz Maestro Aaron Rimbui aptly titled the “Bald Man Anthem” set to be released on Friday 8th October. This date will also mark the inception of Bien, Chimano, Savara and Polycarp’s individual journeys as entertainers.
Bald Man Love Better collaborative project between Bien and Aaron Rimbui, Father Studies by Fancy Fingers, Heavy Is The Crown by Chimano and Savage Level by Savara, will all be released on Exodus Entertainment /Sol Generation and distributed by Ingrooves,” said Sauti Sol.
The group noted that once they are through with their individual projects, they will release “full projects whose dates shall be announced in due time”.
They further reveal that they will later release their new album as a group – Sauti Sol – next year in May.
