Esther Chebet, a prominent actor from the hit Kenyan comedy-drama “The Real Househelps of Kawangware” (TRHK), has reportedly fallen on hard times and is now selling her social media pages.

Chebet, who played a significant role in the popular TV show, announced that she is looking for serious buyers for her Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok accounts.

Chebet’s social media presence is substantial, boasting over 1.2 million followers on Facebook, 428,000 on Instagram, and more than 302,000 on TikTok.

In a recent post, she invited interested parties to submit their proposals to her email address, starchebet@gmail.com, emphasizing that only serious buyers should inquire.

This move has raised concerns among her fans and followers, who have been curious about her well-being after she made a worrying post about her personal life earlier in the week. In a follow-up post, Chebet reassured her fans that she is managing despite the challenges.

She expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support, stating, “Good morning beautiful people, Chebet is doing well. Thank you for your concerns, kind words, prayers, and encouragement.”

Chebet went on to explain that she is in a period of introspection and personal growth.

“I’m currently doing well and still trying to understand what lessons I was meant to pick through that whole experience. We are in spiritual times, and for some of us going through awakenings, tunaamshwa kwa fujo (we are being awakened forcefully),” she shared.

“The Real Househelps of Kawangware,” which first aired on KTN before moving to NTV, was a beloved show that depicted the humorous daily lives of house helps in Kawangware, a bustling Nairobi neighborhood. The show was well-received for its relatable content and the talented performances of its cast, including Chebet.

Since the show ended in 2021, many of its actors have pursued various endeavors, but Chebet’s current financial struggles highlight the often unpredictable nature of an acting career.
