Kenyan comedian Njugush has once again proven his immense popularity and business acumen by revealing the significant earnings from his latest comedy special, Through Thick and Thin (TTNT).

Held on Saturday, July 27, at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi, the event marked the fifth installment of his successful series, attracting thousands of fans and raking in over Sh6 million from ticket sales alone.

The anticipation for TTNT 5 was palpable, with tickets selling out by Friday night. Njugush, known for his engaging humor and relatable content, took to social media to announce the sell-out status to his 2.7 million Instagram followers and 1.7 million Facebook fans.

“Sold out. Note, no tickets at the gate,” he posted, creating a buzz among those eager to witness his latest performance.

The Sarit Expo Centre, a versatile venue featuring three halls—Arabuko, Cherengani, and Loita—was transformed into a column-free space accommodating approximately 4,000 people. However, Njugush exceeded expectations by hosting 6,000 attendees, showcasing the high demand for his comedy.

Ticket prices were set at three tiers: Sh1,000 for students, Sh1,500 for regular attendees, and Sh3,500 for VIP guests. Even if every attendee purchased the lowest-priced ticket, the event would have generated a minimum of Sh6 million.

In addition to ticket sales, Njugush benefited from sponsorship deals with notable companies such as Risiih Investments Ltd, Shell Kenya, and Jambojet.

Shell Kenya, in particular, provided free transport from Nairobi’s CBD to the venue, making it easier for fans to attend.

For those unable to secure tickets, Njugush offered a streaming link for Sh300, allowing fans to enjoy the show from the comfort of their homes.

Although the exact streaming revenues and the number of regular and VIP tickets sold remain undisclosed, it is clear that Njugush’s TTNT 5 was a financial triumph.
