Man arrested for vandalizing Safaricom telecommunication equipments worth Ksh.2M

Police officers in Muranga are holding a man who vandalized Safaricom telecommunication equipment worth over Ksh2 million.

The suspects Lenny Ng’anga reportedly gained access to a transmitter station masquerading as a Safaricom engineer.

After a while, the station guard became suspicious of the man’s activities and alerted police officers who immediately rushed to the scene.

The suspect, however manages to escape by jumping into his vehicle. After a few Kilometers past Saba Saba area in Muranga, the resilient all terrain Police machine caught up with him, forcing to pull over in surrender.

After a further search into the car, detectives discovered a telecommunication equipment suspected to have been vandalized elsewhere.

The suspect’s motor vehicle was impounded and he shall be arraigned in court tommorow.
