Agnes Tirop Murder has taken another direction after the investigation officers allegedly found a confession letter.
According to the officers, the confession letter explained how Agnes Tirop and the husband had issues in their relationship. It revealed that they had fight continuously and this has now brought Rotich to be the main suspect of the death of athlete.
Police say it is clear that the suspect had intention to kill her and toxicological analysis woul reveal more information.
After a three-hour-long postmortem carried out by two pathologist and a forensic physician on Tuesday, the autopsy report of athlete Agnes Tirop revealed that she died as a result of injuries caused by stab wounds on the neck and blunt force trauma on the head.
Dr Dorothy Njeru, who led the exercise, said they had prepared a report and handed it over to the DCI.
The body was then released for collection by her parents for burial on Saturday in Nandi County.
Tirop was found dead with a stab wound on the neck and a court has ordered that her boyfriend Ibrahim Rotich be detained for investigation into her death to be finalized.
Rotich was on Monday arraigned before an Iten courts. He appeared before senior Principle Magistrate Charles Kutwa but did not take plea.
The suspect is being detained at Eldoret Police station.
The case will be mentioned on November 9 for further orders.
