Citizen TV presenter Koinange has defied his boss at Royal Media Services and instead chosen to work with the company’s perceived competitors.

Jeff went against his bosses by advertising for an agency, an action that the media house had previously warned his employees against.

On Thursday, the veteran journalist took to his Instagram page to advertise for a phone company, urging his followers to buy the company’s products.

Jeff was urged his followers to go but Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 telling them where they can find the product as well as the products features.

“It’s HERE……the Samsung Galaxy #ZFold3 is available at your Favorite #samsung Authorised dealer (in Black, Silver and Green)…other add-ons include the @SAMSUNG Glaxy watch 4 which Psynchs with your phone as well as The Samsung Galaxy Phone Buds2!! Jeff’s action comes four months after RMS Managing Director Wachira Waruru barred media personalities from working with advertising agencies or doing promos for several entities.

The managing director noted that the action of some of their employees advertising for companies was affecting the organization’s business.

“Staff are prohibited against taking part in the following: a) advertising for faith, religion or equivalent systems of belief b) advertising for alcohol products, c) advertising for political parties and/or their candidates,” Mr. Waruru  said in a Memo to the employees.

The media house also barred its employees from working with corporates as Master of Ceremony, host, panelist or contributor. The also prohibited them from working with the government advertising agencies or do advert for the government.

The media house, however, noted that any of their employees who wish to do an advert must put forth a request that will approved by their respective department’s directors.
