The wedding of controversial blogger Andrew Kibe has been making headlines since its failed marriage. The pastor who officiated the wedding has now come out to reveal details of the chaotic event and to clear his name from any blame.
Responding to claims that he forced Kibe into marriage, Pastor Daniel Wabala stated that Kibe had approached him seeking counsel, having already introduced his future wife to his mother. “This man told me he had met a girl and wanted to follow the ideals of Christianity by getting married through a wedding… as his pastor I advised him accordingly, not forced him,” said Pastor Wabala.
On the day of the wedding, things took a turn for the worse as the family turned wild and chairs began flying. The pastor implored his colleagues to take the couple to the Flamekeepers office to continue with the ceremony, and Kibe eventually walked out of the marriage of his own accord.
Kibe had previously claimed that his pastors forced him to marry, and he had been compelled to fast for three days before picking his wife. He later confessed to having been with many women at the time.
Kibe blamed himself for failing to stand up to his pastors and for getting married too young. He stated that he wasn’t ready for marriage and that he should have spoken out when the church told him what to do.
