Popular media personality Kamene Goro is set to make a comeback to the airwaves after leaving Kiss FM, where she had been a co-host for the breakfast show. Langata MP Felix Odiwuor, who is also known as Jalang’o, confirmed the news during the launch of Flair by Betty after relocating. Kamene had left the station after her three-and-a-half-year contract expired in January.
Jalang’o, who had also left Kiss FM, had promised to support Kamene and referred to her as his “small sister.” During the event, he revealed that he had met her the previous night, and she was doing great. He added that Kamene was in a better place and had landed a new gig at a radio station that she loved. However, it is unclear which station she will be joining.
“Kamene is doing great. I met her last night and we had some whiskey. I think she is in a better place and doing something that she loves and is going to [join] a radio station very soon,” he said.
Kamene had denied rumors that she was fired, saying that her contract had ended, and there was no need to renew it. She left the station after Jalang’o exited, causing her to rethink her media career. Jalang’o had taken to Instagram to share a heartfelt message with Kamene, expressing his gratitude for working with her and promising to be there for her in the future.
Kamene is known for her lively and entertaining persona, and her fans are eagerly awaiting her return to the airwaves. During her time at Kiss FM, she had formed a close relationship with her co-hosts Jalang’o and Oga Obinna. She had credited them for playing a significant role in her career at the station, adding that they had been part of a lot of happiness in her life.
