Jubilee Party Secretary General and former Ndaragwa Member of Parliament Hon Jeremiah Kioni, has accused the government of plotting to cripple the opposition side after the Azimio coalition affiliated political parties fails to get their funding from the Registrar of political parties.

Speaking to the members of the press conference today as quoted by Nation Newspaper, Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni who delivered the speech on behalf of the Azimio coalition parties, has accused the government for not disbursing their Party funding from the Registrar of Political Parties.

Kioni claimed the decision of not disbursing political to the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition party allied political outfits, is a deliberate decision which aims to cripple the opposition from running its activities. That’s why the government has failed to release their money up to now causing the opposition coalition to find it hard to run its activities as it provides oversight to the government.

President William Ruto together with his deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and other top government leaders are on an official tour in Nyanza region that is known to be a political stronghold for opposition leader Raila Odinga.

While in Nyanza region, President Ruto was welcomed by leaders from the region led by Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga and his Migori counterpart Achilo Oyako.

It has been noticed that a few leaders led by Otiende Amollo and Peter Kaluma are missing in action.

This evening, Rarieda MP Hon Amollo Otiende has revealed that he’s away on official duties that’s why he’s not attending president Ruto’s tour to Siaya but he has welcomed him.

Through his official Twitter account, the lawmaker has said, “While away on official duties, we welcome the visit of president William Ruto to Asembo, Rarieda for CS Eliud Owalo’s thanksgiving. As elected leaders, we look forward to continued structured & constructive engagement with the executive.”
