Vihiga Queens have earned three points and two goalz after Zetech Sparks failed to honour today’s match that was scheduled to be played at Mumias Complex.
Reports emanating from the club revealed that the varsity side failed to travel to Kakamega due to logistics issues.

Wendy’s hat-rick inspires Thika Queens to a 4-2 win over Kisumu All Starlets
Thika mercurial forward Atieno Wendy inspired Thika Queens to a 4-2 win against Kisumu starlets in a match staged at the Moi Stadium Kisumu.
Kisumu Starlets drew blood first with a shot past Queens’ custodian in the 14th minute before Atieno Wendy equalised for her side in the 17th minute.
Twenty five minutes later, Wend doubled for her side with quick-trending short as Odhiambo Stella sealed the half-time scores at 3-1.
After the breather, Wendy made the score to 4-1 before Monicah Etot score the second for her side to make the score 4-2 at full-time.
Thika’s Karani Georgina was sent-off for unsporting behaviour on 74 minutes but the visitors had done enough to win the match.
Thika head coach Joseph Oloo praised his girls for giving their all.
“It was a tough game but we created more chances because we had more ball possession. Kisumu should even be thankful we didn’t score more goals,” Oyoo said.
Kisumu have now lost two consecutive league games. In their first game, they lost 1-0 to Nakuru City Queens at home.
The win saw Thika move into the top five from 11th place.
Elsewhere at the Kenyatta grounds in Kitale, high-flying Trans Nzoia Falcons beat bottom-of-the-table Wadadia Women 2-1.
Tumaini Muamila scored both goals for Falcons in the 43rd and 67th minutes while Mida Wesonga scored the only goal for Wadadia on 13 minutes.
Falcons are now at the top of the table with six points after three matches.
They won 2-0 against Thika Queens in their first league match before Ulinzi Starlets handed them a 4-0 hiding last weekend..
To the men’s side, Kakamega Homeboyz and Nzoia Sugar secured crucial wins to cut Tusker’s lead to two points on a day seven penalties were awarded in Football Kenya Federation Premier League.
Homeboyz ran riot over FC Talanta 4-2 at Bukhungu Stadium in a game where four penalties were awarded while Nzoia Sugar edged Nairobi City Stars 1-0 at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma also via a penalty.
At Nyayo Stadium, AFC Leopards’ poor form continued after they lost 1-0 to Posta Rangers, for the first time in three years. The last time Ingwe was beaten by the mailmen was in January 2020.
Former champions Sofapaka’s wait for the first win of the season continued after battling to a 1-1 draw with Ulinzi Stars at Ulinzi Complex in Langata Barracks, Nairobi.
