Embakasi East Member of Parliament has warned President William Ruto and his administration over the speech presented by IEBC Deputy chair Juliana Cherera, hinting out that she did as per the constitution of Kenya.

According to Babu Owino, every Kenyan has a constitutional right to express his or her contrary opinion, adding that, that was the case with Cherera and her team during the Bomas of Kenya saga that saw the country subjected to tension.

The Legislator noted that, they are set to hold the meetings that will then direct on the next course of action, asserting that, they are going to protect the IEBC Commissioners with everything they have from being violated by the ruling government.

“Every Kenyan has the right to express a contrary opinion. Cherera should not be kicked out of office because she gave her opinion. It was a right to freedom of expression…” said Babu Owino.

On the other end, Orange Democratic Movement Leader, Raila Odinga, has maintained that, there are operations to axe the IEBC four so that they can allegedly install their own preference ahead of the next general elections.

Raila, blasted IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati for allegedly refusing to step down in the face of his term limit, claiming that, Ruto and his allies don’t want Chebukati to retire now because, if he does Cherera, his deputy will take over and that will mean, exposing the incident that took place before Ruto was declared President of Kenya.

Elsewhere, Despite it being new in the administration, Kenya Kwanza Alliance led by President William Samoei Ruto is seemingly swimming in a deep sea of turbulence. The rulling outfit is struggling to remain intact in order to deliver on its election’s pledges to the citizens of the Republic of Kenya.

The alliance is seemingly facing its first acid test as far as the unity and trust within the outfit is concerned. The Bungoma Senatorial by-election has opened a fresh chapter within the formation and risks creating a wedge between leading Principals and political parties.

With both Ford Kenya and UDA party fielding respective candidates for the same, Ford Kenya and key leaders from Western Kenya have since read malice in the same.

National Assembly Speaker, Moses Masika Wetangula and Prime Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi have turned out gun-blazzing against Ruto-led UDA party for trying to armtwist them in the Mulembe Nation.
