NSL Club on the verge of collapsing days after FKF released upcoming fixture

Reports have revealed that National Super League (NSL) side, Vihiga United might be on the verge of collapsing ahead of Tommorrow’s matches.

Source in the club hinted at a serious financial crisis that could destabilize its presence in the second division league which is expected to start at the weekend.

“The team has a financial problem and in the current situation, life seems to be difficult. Talks are already underway to exchange the NSL position with Luanda Villa,” the source close to the Star said.

The source also claimed that the club offloaded half of its players to Luanda Villa and Vihiga Bullets to reduce costs.

However, Vihiga United chairman, Kahi Indimuli, denied the reports they plan to surrender their National Super League slot to Luanda Villa.

Indimuli said he was surprised after stumbling upon the claims on social media pages.

“As the chairman of the Vihiga county government-sponsored team, I wish to refute the rumours and confirm that the club is still intact and will participate in the coming second-tier season,” Indimuli said.

Luanda Villa are currently in the First Division League, aiming to rise to the National Super League.
