As the weekend continues to reel from the weight of the stunning news that Mt Kenya leaders within the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance Coalition Party are planning to decamp from the outfit, more revelations about the deal-making that was going on behind the scenes, and which would have seen Mt Kenya benefit greatly at the expense of other regions, are now coming to light.

The Orange Democratic Movement party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna took to Twitter to reveal that, while Jubilee remains mired in its protests, they under-delivered while reaping maximum benefits from the coalition. Not only did they bag the running-mate position and Nairobi governor’s candidate slot, but were also to bag an incredible 50 percent of Raila’s government. His tweet read,

True! Baba got 490k more votes in Mt. Kenya than 2017. BUT the PROMISE was 40% or 2.4m votes from the mountain. Jubilee overpromised and underdelivered whilst also extracting serious concessions including a Mt Kenya running mate, Nairobi Governor and over 50% of Govt. Msitubebe

Confused Raila never saw the impact for loosing Mudavadi, Wetangula, Kingi, Mutual, etc. He was interest in “Hot air” promises by Jubilee conmen.

Just yesterday, the Standard Newspaper reported that former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga had been dealt a major blow after top Mt Kenya leaders declared that the political debt they had to pay has been cleared.

The move has since left the Orange Democratic Movement ODM party leader in a major political limbo with his influence in the region being at stake, the publication claimed.
Apparently, among those who have declared their support for His Excellency the Head of State president William Ruto are top Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance politicians from the region.
