Reminiscent of prominent Jewish businessmen in Berlin who began taking off immediately Adolf Hitler swept to power with his National Socialist Party, some online influencers appear to fear for the worst if the alleged actions of one of the country’s top digital figures are anything to go by.

Top United Democratic Alliance party supporter and popular online influencer GK Onorpik took to Twitter to mock fellow influencer Gabriel Oguda who has made a name for himself in the recent past for his unfavorable tweets towards the Deputy President William Ruto in particular and Kenya Kwanza in general.

GK Onorpik noted that Oguda had taken to deleting his earlier tweets that had cast DP Ruto in bad light, regretting that had he not done so, he planned to pin him down on some slanderous posts that he had made against Ruto. His tweet read,

@Onorpik
Gabriel Oguda has started deleting tweets, i was just about to pull one good slander on him.

All this is happening at a time when the DP’s fortunes have began looking up in as far as the tallying of General Election held last week is concerned.

By the time of going to press, both the Azimio and Kenya Kwanza coalitions had claimed to have clinched the highest number of seats at various elective levels in the just concluded elections.

During the Azimio One Kenya elected leaders meeting at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi, held on Saturday, August 13, the coalition’s presidential running mate, Martha Karua, exuded confidence in the number of elective seats within their control.
She stated that Azimio had surpassed Kenya Kwanza having bagged 180 Members of Parliament as opposed to Kenya Kwanza’s 130.
“For all of you, because you are in Nairobi, we need to distribute ourselves to where our places where we are needed in order to guard our win, because we have won. I was looking at the list of MPs, I am very attempted to read our names, but we are just short of 180 when you combine. We have 24 governors at the moment. If you add Mombasa and Kakamega whose by-election is coming later, you will see we have strength around the country,” Karua stated.
