Details emerge of ongoing operations Wetangula is apparently conducting against his brother in Westlands

Although it is mainly the Kindiki brothers and the Tobikos who have dominated headlines as far as family rivalries in politics are concerned, it is now emerging that a far more fierce and vicious blood-feud may currently be in the making if reports emanating from Westlands are anything to go by.
An exposé by the Orange Democratic Movement party Director of Communications Phillip Etale suggested that the Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula is currently engaged in efforts that are tantamount to campaigning against his brother Tim Wanyonyi in his quest to defend his Westlands constituency parliamentary seat. In a tweet, Etale went ahead to claim that even if Tim had been given the honour of flying Azimio’s flag in the capital’s gubernatorial race, Wetangula would have still campaigned against him. Just the way Moses Masika Wetang’ula is campaigning against his own brother Tim in Westlands, is the same way he would have campaigned against him if he was the Azimio Gubernatorial candidate in Nairobi.

Back in April, Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi , in an abrupt turnaround, thanked his supporters for believing in him and for their support in his bid to be the Nairobi Governor.

In the unexpected announcement, he then said he would however defend his MP seat on an ODM ticket and under the Azimio La Umjoa Alliance after he was prevailed to withdraw from the Gubernatorial contest in favour of Polycarp Igathe.
“My leadership journey has always been about serving the people. I look forward to serving the people of Westlands for the third term,” He said in a message on his social media account.

Wanyonyi seemed to have settled on his new adventure quite well and a courtesy call from the Azimio La Umoja – One Kenya Alliance Nairobi Gubernatorial candidate Polycarp Igathe soon afterwards further ascertained there was apparently no bad blood between the two.
The bone of contention seems to arise from the fact that while Tim Wanyonyi belongs to the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance Coalition party, his brother Wetangula is one of the principals in the DP-led Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
