Former Makadara Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Reuben Ndolo campaigned for the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance candidates in Starehe and Embakasi Central constituencies.
Ndolo a veteran politician and sports administrator campaigned for the Azimio Presidential candidate Raila Odinga and Nairobi candidates.
At Inda Park and Landi Mawe in Starehe Constituency Ndolo aka Garang’ campaigned for the Azimio parliamentary candidate Amos Mwago.
He asked the hundreds of the area residents to vote for Raila (president), Mwago (MP), Polycarp Igathe (Governor), ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna and Esther Muthoni Passaris (Women Representative).
Ndolo went further to campaign for Gaucho the ODM Landi Mawe ward candidate whom he termed as Raila’s die-hard supporter.
“Candidates from our rival Kenya Kwanza alliance are of questionable characters and we should not allow them to lead us into a ditch. Let’s vote for Azimio La Umoja aspirants as they mean well for Nairobi and Kenya,” he warned.
Ndolo said Igathe has been tested and proved as a professional manager basing on his track record in the corporate world compared to his rival UDA’s Johnson Sakaja who has been in the news for the wrong reasons and can therefore not be trusted in managing Kenya’s capital city.
Ndolo had earlier thrown his weight behind the Azimio La Umoja Nairobi county candidates.
Ndolo rallied his support behind Azimio’s gubernatorial, Senatorial candidates and Women’s representative Polycarp Igathe, Edwin Sifuna and Esther Passaris respectively.
Ndolo said he understood Nairobi’s terrain very well and will officially join the campaigns for Azimio’s candidates ams ensure that he burns the midnight oil to deliver the seats to Azimio and the city’s presidential votes to coalition’s presidential candidate Raila Odinga in the forthcoming Kenya;s general elections scheduled for August 9th, 2022.
The former boxer made the declaration when he joined Sifuna and Passaris in their campaigns in Dagoretti North constituency during a meeting with church leaders on Friday, June 10th, 2022.
“I will join forces will mobilize a group which we will use in fishing out voters from their houses to go and vote. Every vote counts and we will not leave any outside,: he vowed.
Ndolo said the three have proved their leadership skills and deserved to be elected to lead Nairobi.
“Igathe is a manager basing on his managerial skills in the corporate world where he has managed blue chip companies, Passaris did a good job during her first tenure as the Nairobi Women’s representative while Sifuna has proved that he can be a lawmaker from the way he has been articulating issues and working as the ODM Secretary General,” he said.
Ndolo said the Kenya Kwanza/United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Nairobi county candidates had questionable characters and cannot be trusted with the management of Kenya’s capital city and should therefore be rejected at all costs.
