After being handed walkovers in the final two games of the season Kakamega Homeboyz skipper Moses Mudavadi is asking the government to intervene and investigate the matter.

This is after Kariobangi Sharks  failed to travel to Bukhungu Stadium to play the hosts in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League that was scheduled for Sunday.

This comes barely a week after FC Talanta also opted to give Homeboyz a walkover in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League game.

This complicated their plans of holding off Tusker in the titanic tussle of the FKF-PL title. Tusker registered an identical 2-0 win over Bidco and Posta to maintain their four-goal advantage over Homeboyz and retain the title.

Mudavadi now smell alleged foul play in FC Talanta and Kariobangi Sharks failing to honour their fixtures against Homeboyz and asked the government to commence investigations.

“We do our best to go for games but you find that teams are not honouring the fixtures, we want the government to look into the matter because this season has really been unfair.” said Mudavadi as quoted by Mozzart sports.

We feel like we have been denied our opportunity as a team to win the title and this has been due to the bad leadership in the league,” he added.

Yema Mwamba, a Congolese midfielder also called upon the government to look into the matter and highlighted the sorry state of the league with other African nations making huge strides in the sport.

“We plead with the Kenyan government to help us because our league has gone down. If you look at the Ethiopian Premier League, it’s now above Kenya and that is not good. I’ve played in a number of leagues and this is my third season in the country and this is one of the worst.

“We left the field bitter after the game against Sharks and the same happened against Talanta and against Gor Mahia they honoured the fixture,” said Mwamba.
