The lifeless body of a middle-aged woman has been discovered, left exposed at the Gwa-Kairu area in Juja, Kiambu County.
Juja sub-county Police Commander, Michael Mwaura, has officially confirmed the occurrence, revealing that detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) based in Juja have already visited the scene.
Mr. Mwaura conveyed to Citizen Digital that the victim exhibited visible physical injuries and bruises on her face, hinting at signs of a struggle in the surrounding area.
In a concerning development, leaves of muguka, a variety of khat locally known as ‘Jaba’ in Kenya, along with groundnuts, were discovered at the scene, adding a layer of mystery to the unfolding investigation.
The police commander emphasized that the identity of the deceased remains unknown at this point. The body has been transferred to the General Kago funeral home in Thika County for a post-mortem examination as investigators diligently work to unravel the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
