Controversial city preacher, James Maina Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism Church, took an unconventional approach during a recent sermon by parading unmarried members of his congregation on the pulpit and encouraging them to seek a life partner.
Ng’ang’a commenced the unusual exercise by urging unmarried male congregants to step forward onto the pulpit. Several men responded to his call. Shortly after, he extended the invitation to unmarried female congregants.
With both groups now on the pulpit, he directed them to interact and see if any connections could be formed leading to potential marriages.
In addition to this, the preacher announced plans for a special church service dedicated to praying for those who were still unmarried in his congregation. He requested them to bring offerings during the service.
This isn’t the first time Ng’ang’a has addressed the marital status of his congregation. Last year, he issued a six-month ultimatum to the singles in his church, urging them to either find partners or consider leaving the church.
