Charlene’s recent visit to Owen’s rural home has ignited widespread speculation about an imminent wedding between the two.

Despite the mounting curiosity, the singer maintained a discreet stance during an interview with content creators, deflecting questions about his relationship with Charlene.

When asked about the rumored dowry demands by President William Ruto for his daughter, Owen tactfully avoided the topic, emphasizing his discomfort discussing someone not present.

I won’t discuss anything that involves someone else who is not here. That is not right,” he said.

In a recent noteworthy event, Daddy Owen graciously opened the doors of his home for a momentous occasion—the “introduction ceremony” uniting Charlene Chelagat Ruto, the daughter of President William Ruto, and Owen’s mother, Margaret Mwatia.

This event happened on December 23, 2023, in the serene Eshifiru village within Kakamega county.

Sharing intimate glimpses of the celebration on his Facebook page, Daddy Owen unveiled photos capturing the convergence of two families in a cultural celebration marked by joy and significance.

Donned in a brown and black designer shirt, complemented by a black hat, Daddy Owen exuded pride and joy throughout the ceremony.

While the affair maintained a relatively low-key profile, it held immense cultural importance. Attended primarily by Owen’s family, including siblings such as elder sister Loise Mwatia and younger brothers, the ceremony seamlessly blended tradition, symbolism, and familial warmth.

Charlene, accompanied by close friends, found herself surrounded by the rhythmic beats of Isikuti dancers and a substantial security contingent.

Among the captured moments, one particularly poignant scene featured Charlene sharing groundnuts with a member of Owen’s family—a gesture deeply rooted in Luhya custom, symbolizing a profound connection and engagement.
