The mystery surrounding the death of Nelvin Museti, a 28-year-old woman who allegedly jumped from the third floor of Ascort Apartments in Lang’ata, has deepened after police found bhang, used condoms and whiskey in her house.
According to a police report, Museti died of a head injury caused by a blunt force trauma. Her body was found at the back of the apartment block on January 14, 2024, and taken to City Mortuary for an autopsy.
The report also revealed that Museti was in the company of a man, identified as Victor Ouma, a police officer attached to the General Service Unit (GSU), on the night of the incident. The two are said to have consumed alcoholic drinks and smoked bhang in her house before she met her death.
Ouma, who was arrested after a mobile phone analysis placed him at the scene, is being held as a suspect in the ongoing investigation. He is expected to be arraigned in court once the investigation is complete.
Museti’s last message on her Facebook page, posted in November 2023, was “Grateful”. She was described by her friends and family as a beautiful, vibrant and cheerful person who loved life.
