Former Citizen TV journalist Kimani Mbugua, who had previously announced his triumphant return to stability after battling a mental health and financial crisis, is once again causing concern among his followers.
The speculation arises from his latest TikTok live video, circulating widely on the internet, where he appears to exhibit signs of relapse into his previous state of bipolar disorder.
Three months ago, Kimani Mbugua had announced his return to stability after battling a mental health and financial crisis.
In 2020, he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, an ailment that significantly impacted his life, leading to the loss of friends, a decline in mental well-being, and financial woes.
In a heartfelt appeal to Kenyans, Mbugua shared his struggles, recounting the difficulties he faced and the toll his mental health had taken on his personal and professional life.
“I fell ill in 2020. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and since then my life has fallen apart. I have lost so many things, I have lost so many friends on the journey. People got tired of me and I’m in a position where most people are not willing to help,” Kimani Mbugua narrated.
In the latest TikTok video circulating on the internet, Mbugua appears in both rural and urban settings, exhibiting behaviors that deviate from his recent road to recovery.
Speaking incoherently with an unusual voice and making sarcastic laughs, he raises concerns about his mental health.
In another clip, he is seen with people in the background, referring to them as neighbors and family members before being abruptly whisked away.
