Renowned award-winning singer and entrepreneur Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee, has announced her decision to take a break from social media.

The mother of five shared that this break would entail her absence from all social media platforms for the next few weeks.

Elaborating on her decision, Akothee explained that the year 2023 has been a challenging one, prompting her to take a break and recharge before returning for more victories in 2024.

“DEAR FANS, I hope you’ve seen this message and find it well. I wanted to take a moment to connect with you and share some important information. The past year has been an incredible and hectic journey, and I am grateful to each one of you for being a part of it,” Akothee conveyed on Saturday evening via Instagram.

“However, as life’s journey unfolds, I find myself feeling tired and depleted. The constant hustle has left me with little time to rest and rejuvenate, and I have reached a point where I need to prioritize my well-being,” she continued on Instagram.

She added that the break would last until January 15, 2024, when she plans to make her return.

“With that in mind, I have decided to take a break and stay away from all social media until January 15, 2024. This time off will allow me to recharge, reset, and remind myself—it’s a crucial step to ensure I can continue to give you all the best of me,” Akothee explained.

She further expressed her understanding of the importance of being fully present and delivering the best without compromising the quality of her content and the experience that has made her a favorite on social media.

“I want to express my gratitude for your unwavering support and understanding during this time. Your encouragement means the world to me, and I believe that this break will ultimately enable me to come back stronger and more inspired.”

“I understand the importance of being fully present and delivering the best, and I don’t want to compromise the quality of the content and experience I share with you. I trust that you will respect my need for this break, and I look forward to connecting with you all in the new year, refreshed and ready for new adventures,” Akothee concluded.
