Police are investigating an incident in which an armed gang based in Ugunja, Siaya County, robbed a bus bound for Jinja, Uganda, en route from Nairobi.
Passengers were terrorized when a group of nearly five armed men entered the bus at the crime scene.
Witnesses reported that the assailants snatched personal items, including phones and bags, from the frightened passengers.
According th the police, the total worth of the stolen items has yet to be determined.
In response to the attack, the bus driver headed to Ugunja Police Station, where passengers filed a report around 3 am before continuing their journey to Jinja.
